Shortly before Saturday's sunrise, guide Mike Smith and his two hunters were taken by surprise, by exactly what they had been waiting for: A dozen teal swept over the back of Smith's floating blind, then streaked off toward the horizon, chased only by the shouts of hunters who should have known better.
